Arts organizations that make me want to belong.

creative people

ASIFA-SF
The Association International du Film d’Animation (International Animated Film Association) is dedicated to cartoons. (we learned a lot from Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.) More to the point, I designed, animated and maintain the current website. www.asifa-sf.org

The Recording Academy
Also known as The Grammys, formerly known as NARAS. In 2007, I co-presented (with Patricia Ryan) the first workshop in Album Art Direction for the San Francisco Chapter of Grammy Career Day. www.grammy.com

The Film Music Society
Formerly the Society for the Preservation of Film Music. This non-profit organization is dedicated to promoting movie music of the past, present and future. www.filmmusicsociety.org

Cartoon Art Museum
This San Francisco institution has endured for two decades, and is a shrine to the other great American art form (besides jazz). www.cartoonart.org

San Francisco Film Society
We have so much in common—we both are crazy about movies, and we share a birthday, more or less... www.sfiff.org

AIGA
The American Institute of Graphic Arts (founded in 1914!) was the first organization to treat graphic design seriously, and for that, my hat's off to them. www.aiga.org
