Ten years, 325 CDs and counting
As of Spring 2008, designWELL is celebrating its tenth anniversary. And while we continue to serve a variety of clients with creative services in print, on the web and on screen, the backbone of our business is still compact disc packaging. At last count we have designed 325 releases, each with a colorful booklet, tray cards and more. But it will be a while before we can top Superman: The Music, an 8-disc box set with a 160-page hardcover book, available from Film Score Monthly here.

Limited edition of rare UPA photographs
Inside UPA is a photographic celebration of one of animation history's most innovative and experimental animation studios, UPA Pictures. The book is designed and written by historian Amid Amidi, whose recent Cartoon Modern: Style and Design in Fifties Animation won the prestigious Theatre Library Association Award for best film or television book of 2006. Amid has personally selected the photos from the collections of UPA artists including Robert Cannon, Stephen Bosustow, Howard Beckerman, Fred Crippen, Sam Clayberger and Joe Messerli. And Joe Sikoryak acted as photo editor, retouching and restoring these fragile mementos of animation history. You can still order the book here.
The Elmer Bernstein Film Music Collection.
Even with over 250 CD titles to our credit, this release is special. The legendary film music composer of The Magnificent Seven, Ghostbusters and To Kill A Mockingbird released a series of LPs in the 1970s that continue to be prized by collectors. Now, Film Score Monthly has repackaged 15 albums in one box set, containing 12 CDs and a 136-page hardcover book, designed by Joe Sikoryak. (released summer 2006)
“If it wasn't for Joe, I'd have been out of this business long ago.”
–Lukas Kendall, producer & publisher, Film Score Monthly
