M&T Publishing
This five-year stint encompassed art direction for Dr. Dobb's Journal, Micro Systems Journal, LAN Technology, and Personal Workstation magazines, balancing technical accuracy with a little "nerd appeal".

McGraw-Hill
Recruited for UnixWorld magazine, we doubled the amount of artwork per month while cutting the costs by half. As the magazine repositioned itself as Open Computing, with a more business-oriented, less technical focus, the art direction evolved as well.

The Publishing Business Group
Working with PC World co-founder Cheryl Woodard and her team of consultants, we drew up plans for the proposed California magazine, as well as aiding a variety of smaller publishers in their ventures.

California Heartline
The CA Department of Health created a newsletter for professionals in heart clinics. Our redesign made the existing design simpler—without talking down to the audience. (We also cut production costs in the bargain.)
